Murder at Midnight

This is the third week this week I've listened to a Murder at Midnight episode.

The three shows that can be put together that I've listened to regularly are Inner Sanctum, The CBS Mystery Theater and now Murder at Midnight.

If you were to listen to the Sherlock Holmes series- the Fu Man Chu series from 1939 was a thrill to add.

Murder at Midnight

ia700507.us.archive.org/6/items/Murder.At.Midnight/Murder_at_Midnight_xx-xx-xx_Murder_Across_the_Board_Never_Broadcast.mp3

It began with Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbone, Tom Conway, and John Gielguld, Orson Welles and the Shadow for a while, Fu Man Chu for over 30 nights in a row, the Inner Sanctum everynight for a couple of months and all of The CBS Radio Mystery Theater that I could stand.
Now: Murder at Midnight.

"Deceased Egyptian Sex-symbols (with lots of cats)"

Last night I was listening to the radio station at the Massachusetss Institute of Technology and e-mailed the phrase "deceased Egyptian Sex Symbols". There has been a lot of scholarly talk about reincarnation for decades among "English" scholars of archeology, but like Copernicus, shall we who know the Chariots of the Gods be humble enough to peer into their concepts. Luckily, the British are punctual and prim, or we never would have made it into the Chariot.

An owner of a 16mm copy of this is searching to see if the film exists- I AM VERY PROUD to feature his filmclip here.

Please visit my webpage on silent film: Lost Film, Found Magazines to read on what lost films are and how they are part of silent film collecting.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater The Aaron Burr Murder Case

www.cbsrmt-shows.com/1974/74-11-28 CBS Radio Mystery Theater The Aaron Burr Murder Case.mp3

We visited The Paul Revere House in Boston, near Boston Harbor, to begin the weekend Thursday. The museum itself is small, inexpensive, partially self-guided, and more than worthwhile for anyone looking for a quiet but exciting afternoon. There is pirate tresure, two angels, held in The Old North Church; they were confiscated by a pirate that later donated them to the church altar, but tonight I looked for a CBS Mystery Theater concerning the Revolutionary War. This one at the above link is about the Hamilton-Burr duel. Apparently, as I listen, Aaron Burr visits from the beyond during a re-enactment during the filming of a movie.

Scandinavian Film

Scandinavian Film

I am very fortunate to have finally found a copy of Scandinavian Film by Forsyth Hardy and am currently reading as much of it as I can.
Please click the link above for a free only copy of the seminal text on Swedish and Danish Film before 1950.
Also feel invited to view my webpage on Silent Film.

Is this a lost silent film?

Picture Stories Magazine (Volume 3) Sept 1914-F...:

'via Blog this'

Its my belief that this in fact could be a lost silent film. Please visit the above link.

This film, The Riddle of the Green Umbrella with Alice Joyce "from the two reel Kalem detective story, could also be a "lost film": I have not yet found any quickly available record of it.

Picture Stories Magazine advertised itself on the front cover as being the Illustrated Films Monthly during 1914 and 1915.
